Topic review - Create a stage longer than stage 1
Author Message

Hi Marcus,
Yes, that is possible ... that is extending the stage by re-starting before the stage has completed. However you have implemented your test in one long repeat loop, we would need to split that up a little into smaller statements.

Is your test script file doing exactly what you need ... have you tested this script against your test protocol, all looks sensible on the main screen?

Have you got the spec. for the test, did you want us to look this over?

Best Regards
Ian

hi,

yes. I have done a script for my test:

REPEAT 13 START 1 RUN 3 START 20 RUN 1 REST 4 START 5 RUN 3 START 11 RUN 3

i mean i have it done, but just wondering if its possible to create a longer stage? like walking speed?

Hi Marcus,
Some PE teachers have used this type of script file
repeat 100 START 5 run 5
this keeps the stage at 5 ... was used as a first go at the beeptest, getting them used to keeping pace.
Is this useful in your specific test?

VO2 Max came from Loughborough Uni.
Are the run speeds the same in your test? ... have you got the specification for your test??
Best Regards
Ian

hi,

i have the pdf file and I have created my own specific script file. But i was wondering if its possible to create a stage which has a longer interval than stage 1, because some stages of my test involve walking? also how accurate are the VO2 max for each stage?
