What I do is look at my own qualities and the things I am not so good at myself, these last gaps should be filled by others. The other coach of the Dutch National Under 21 XV had other qualities and we were an interesting mix. It gave us the opportunity to discuss who of us would present information to the team.

Another example: One of my problems is that when players tell me when they are not available after a training session I always forget. I need a good team manager to take care of this.

International sides have lots of coaches, the head coach is more a manager of coaches than the coach as we know it.

How do you set up a coaching team, what are your experiences?
