I always feel that the most important thing is to explain that every pass thrown puts you further away from your goal line. In rugby you have to go forward in order to score. Work from there, tackle line, gain line.

Next is the team aspect: the one who has the ball decides everything. Accepting his decision is crucial.

I've just started a 'beginner's rugby club' locally and many people who are interested have no prior experience in the sport. I'm not exactly a guru but I'm mainly just focusing on teaching the basics and training at our first meet (which is next weekend). I've got people from ages 15-23 involved and I'd like to know if anyone has advice or references they'd like to volunteer to help this idea become a success.
