Hello Coach,

Sorry to keep you hanging.

Sponsoring is difficult. It starts with begging for money, fans or former members will give you some money.

Next is thinking form the sponsors perspective: what does he gets out of it? Things we are doing:

    attach the sponsors name to the club: the actual name, letterheads, boarding around the pitch

    connect the sponsor to the positive aspects of rugy: respect etc. The sponsor can advertise with that

    sponsors events: for his employees of his clients: sponsor diners, teambuilding sessions etc. You will be amazed how much outsiders actually enjow throwing a rugby ball around!!


Be careful: make somebody in the club responsible for the relation, do not "disappear" after you received the cash...

Hi there Martin



Can I ask you if you have any sample sponsorship proposals for clubs in start up mode?

We need money and the players and I pay for everything ourselves. It would be nice to get some equipment and a scrum machine is a dream....
