Fixed and Growth Mindset.

There is no point in time when the fun becomes competition, pleasure in performing all depends on the midset, the way of thinking of the talented youngster. Dweck defines two groups:

 The group with the Fixed Mindset focusses on getting the maximum outcome with little effort. This group of players are good as long as the results are there. Once these are not there, they can only blame their ability.

 The group with the Growth Mindset focusses on the development process, they can not do more than they are doing.

The second approach is more appealling because you are dealing with others in a more relaxed style to prepare optimally in for your performance.
