From Pierre Villepreux.... (translated with Sherlock, pls. excuse my French..)

ierre Villepreux explains in his weekly chronicle why the new rules will be beneficial with the French play. When I look at the matches from super the 14, my sensitivity for an always better play lets me think than the new rules which should be applied for the season 2008-2009, will bring an additional pepper to the current production. For north and in the south. The rules have been tested in their totality in the competitions, certainly of lower level but sufficiently credible. The impressions, appreciations and comments of the players, the trainers and the referees were in continuity increasingly favorable. The possible ones but tiny reserves relate to details of application but not the bottom of the new rules.

For those which would worry about see the play denaturing itself, one can ensure them right now, support with statistics, that with the new rules the traditional phases, frays, keys, regroupings are still always present. Their number is almost identical and the combat necessary by the performer cannot be disregarded.

Last, the question: can this new type of play exist for all (young people and lower categories)?

Without ambiguity, my answer is yes! It is indeed a play easier to play, easier to include/understand and more easily submissible to arbitration. But once again the quality of the formation remains determining if it is admitted that the payment is made to be shown a profit and not deviated.
