I am writing to you with regards to a study I am doing as part of my university course. I would like to know what you feel is the role of a sports psychologist in the game of rugby football. Thank you

Sport psychology is very important. Us coaches only seem to focus on the technical side of things like training the body and how to catch a ball. But the mind can be trained as well.
My believe is that us coaches can be training psychology related skills too. If he can't improve these skills with a player, it is the moment to bring in more help. I would use a sport psychologist to advise me, not to work with players.

Look under the 'motivation' button on my website for more info.
