Hello, we have a large squad and I have lots of help. Sometimes though, I am on my own and feel that I am going through the motions and am not really improving the skills of the players.

What is your top tip?

My top tip would be to focus on 1 position and built the program around that position. Like you train 25 players and want to focus on the center position. You will problably have 4-5 centers who will get all the attention and the other 20 players are youre assistant trainers. Put the 25 players is game like situation suited for centers, like midfield defence. Show options and in this example show that options change in time because more forwards will arrive in the midfield.

This approach gives a great boost for the centers in question but also creates awareness from the other players for the center role. I believe that a better understanding of all roles in the team is valuable for the overall performance.

What's wrong with doing teamwork? I would be jealous for having 30 players at my training!
