Hello, I'm 17 years old and wondering if you have any information, software or advice to give me as I'm looking to go into Rugby Performance Analysis in Wales and would love some professional help.
I would like to find out on things such as:
-How hard is it to get a job in Rugby Performance Analysis?
-What qualifications are usually needed?
-Are there any places on-line where I can get experience?
-What software could I download as a student?

Thank you.

Hello,

I think you live in the best possible country to get into this. The WRU is nuts about this. The best thing to do is to get in touch with one of the academy programs.

Qualifications? Did you have some experience using video with a club? Video camera's are not that expensive anymore. Get going and built your CV.

A Level II coaching qualification is a basis. This is the course where you learn about the individual roles and responsibilities of the rugby positions. You will have to rate performance against this.

Website: http://www.sportstec.com, I am almost sure that is what the WRU is using.

Good luck,
Martin

Thank you. How could I get involved with academy programs by any chance? I do know a few people who work within the Scarlets region so maybe I shold ask them?
also how much does sportstec cost to buy the software?

Thanks a lot, Phil
