Hi Martin

How are you? Hope all is well.

I have 2 questions and hope you could help.

1 Which lift do you prefer in the line out, the single leg lift or double leg lift. What are the pros and cons of both.

2 Soon as the line out jumper lands and the props get ready to bind to form a maul - Should they bind behind around his waist over his buttocks ( posterior side of jumper) or around his waist just below his belly( front side of jumper)?

Look forward to your feedback.

Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

Always, double - biomechanically the best transfer from power in the arms. Think about hands too.

Then on the binding on the jumper, binding in front is allowed, not binding and blocking of course
not. I prefer binding with the shoulder on the player, again best
transfer of power.

Agree?
Martin
