How do others get quality practice of rucking and body positions/technique at the tackle area (i.e. after the tackle has been made) without picking up injuries at training as I have a small squad to work with.

Thanks :?:

The easy answer is of course using contact suits and rucking shields but that is a bit too simple.

 I start with one on one tackle with support players moving in on contact pads after the initial tackle.
 You can break this down even further by having players running into the contact pads without the tackle.

 A good contact skill website is www.acc.co.nz/injury-prevention/safe-in ... odes/rugby
